Fresh Beginnings

I've finally done it! Chosen to blast off and create a (hopefully) inspiring blog. I'm so hesitant to begin because I don't want to mess this place up. I want it to be perfect, perfect, perfect, my place of solace. I wish to begin with loads of readers, a breath-taking layout and background, meticulously organized and classified, hundreds of wonderful posts with spotless grammar and word choice.

But alas.

There will never be a beginning such as this.

Besides, that longing goes against the whole idea behind all I want my blog to be. That is, my journey to be fully be in the present and to enjoy the small pleasures in life, because they are the drops which make up my bucket of life. Sure, standing alone, they're somewhat meaningless, but what would the bucket be if it were missing every teensy drop?

Empty.

And eventually, no matter how long it would take, drop by drop a bucket would fill of drops. And overflow. And then some.

Blogger can be expecting a mighty amount of posts being shot it's way very quickly, to blast off the launch of my brand spanking new blog! HUZZAH! It wouldn't be right to leave my blog feeling lonely and empty, and thus you can expect me to be posting like a madwoman these first couple of days, perhaps weeks. Especially with summer happening in 7 DAYS!

I leave you with this. A lovely poem, which beautifully puts into words the transformation which has been occurring within me lately; slowly.

"She decided to free herself
Dance into the wind
Create a new language.
And birds fluttered around her
Writing 'yes' into the sky."
